In a recent crackdown Oakland and federal authorities targeted high level criminals in hopes of quelling the recent surge in crime. The crackdown resulted in the arrest of 60 individuals. “These are people we specifically sought out in this investigation because of their status in the (criminal) community," said Howard Jordan the Oakland Chief of Police. “There's more to come," Jordan said. "This is not over."
