Conquer Any Course obstacle race training membership website announces new featured trainer and former Navy SEAL, Stew Smith, as replacement for departing Holbrook “Hobie” Call. Beginning on or before October 11, 2012 Stew Smith will lead the training at ConquerAnyCourse.com. The site will also be slightly retooled to reflect the changes.
Obstacle race professional and departing Conquer Any Course featured trainer, Hobie Call, says. “I am sad to say that I am leaving conqueranycourse. I simply feel that I lack the resources and expertise to give you what you deserve. But, not to worry, James Villepigue has brought in former Navy SEAL and celebrity elite conditioning trainer, Lieutenant Stew Smith. James has assured me that the site is going to receive a supercharged jump start and that the services will be better than ever.”.
Current members of Conquer any Course will receive training for the month of October free of charge.
New Conquer Any Course obstacle racing trainer, Stew Smith, says, “When I heard about this project I immediately jumped at the opportunity to join forces with CAC, to coach such a like minded and determined group as those wishing to compete in Obstacle Course Races. As many of you already know, obstacle races are not just 5km runs or road races - the top obstacle race courses are quite tough and incredibly challenging and require a full spectrum training regimen for optimal race specific results. Whether you're looking to compete with the best or just want to survive the course without getting injured, I will get you to where you need to be. These races are modeled after many of the military, special ops, and SWAT team obstacle courses that I have been personally training on and helping others ace for over 20 years. My programs are not only designed to ace obstacle courses, but to assist you with creating an all encompassing training program that will help you in nearly any endeavor from Special Ops training to athletics at any level. I am here to help my CAC members in any way that I can - this includes shooting strategic training videos of our obstacle course workouts, plus any additional skills / techniques that you desire to master - just ask.”.
The developers of Conquer Any Course have expressed optimism regarding the changes to the site and training program.
“We understand Hobie’s decision to leave Conquer Any Course and we will miss him, but we will all continue on as friends. We support Hobie in his obstacle racing career and wish him the best. We are very fortunate to have Stew Smith now on the team. His level of expertise in obstacle race training will take our members to new levels of readiness. I think the response will be very positive once we get started because Stew is so thorough and dedicated in his approach to creating training programs.”, says Christopher Oliver, Conquer Any Course media relations manager.
