For ten years, Whole Woman Inc. has been the primary resource for women seeking a natural alternative to surgery for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, which will effect up to 80% of all women. Following up on the successful 2012 Conference, which drew attendees from around the world, Christine Kent, Whole Woman founder, announces the 2nd annual Whole Woman Conference.
Pelvic organ prolapse is a hidden epidemic according to Christine Kent, a Registered Nurse who suffered a profound uterine prolapse in the early 1990s as a result of bladder suspension surgery. Refusing the recommended hysterectomy, Ms. Kent struggled with her prolapse, while making an exhaustive search of the medical literature, to finally understand the true cause of and how to successfully manage pelvic organ prolapse without dangerous surgery. She established her website, wholewoman.com in 2003 concurrent with the publication of her book, Saving the Whole Woman, now in its second edition.
Ms. Kent emphasizes, “Few women are even aware this condition exists until they are symptomatic. While not life threatening, pelvic organ prolapse can be debilitating and emotionally traumatic. Through my book, DVDs and personal consultations, I have helped thousands of women around the world avoid risky and often catastrophic surgery, and successfully manage their prolapse for a lifetime.”
Christine’s work has been endorsed by many distinguished authors and practitioners such as Christiane Northrup, MD, Michel Odent, MD, Jan Tritten, Ina May Gaskin, Christine Horner, MD, Diane Lee, PT and others.
The Whole Woman Conference is an opportunity for women with pelvic organ prolapse to advance their knowledge, skill and experience in a mutually supportive environment. The 2013 Whole Woman Conference will also include demonstrations of Christine’s latest work on non-surgical intervention for osteoarthritis of the hip.
“The number of hip replacement surgeries is exploding,” says Kent. “These surgeries often lead to permanent disability and, shockingly, are increasingly being performed on young athletes, frequently with devastating results.”
To maximize personal attention, the 2013 Whole Woman Conference will be limited to only 24 attendees. Other presenters at the conference will be storyteller and healer Susi Wolf and noted herbalist Beverly McFarland. More information is available at http://bit.ly/17pPK81.
