At a time when other organizations are cutting back on support for those older systems, Galileo gives users a new way to compound the return on their captive investments in existing hardware.
Malvern, PA (PRWEB) April 19, 2013
Galileo Performance Explorer™, a cloud-based performance monitoring tool for server and storage systems, created by the ATS Group, has introduced a new agent to accommodate IBM’s most popular mid-range storage hardware—IBM® DS3000, DS4000, and DS5000 storage systems. Like all existing Galileo agents for IBM® AIX®, Linux® , Windows Server® , and IBM® SVC and Storwize® V7000 monitoring, it installs in minutes and communicates through a common, secure Communications Agent.
The new DS3/4/5K agent charts storage performance data across 36 metrics and communicates that information in 31 unique charts addressing subsystems, controllers, arrays, and logical drives. Charts are accessible through any Web browser. A new raw data export feature also enables users to extract chart data (in CSV format) at the lowest level of granularity, for more detailed analysis.
“This latest agent uncovers new detail to help DS3/4/5K users monitor and fine tune their storage applications for optimum performance,” says Tim Conley, co-founder and principal partner for the ATS Group. “At a time when other organizations are cutting back on support for those older systems, Galileo gives users a new way to compound the return on their captive investments in existing hardware.”
