Gillece Services, Pittsburgh Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical, and Waterproofing, provides residential plumbing services for all of a home’s interior plumbing as well as drains and sewer lines. Gillece is currently offering a drain cleaning special to aid in the prevention of clogs and backup that may be caused by spring showers.

Gillece customers and homeowners in the Pittsburgh area are advised to practice prevention by maintaining their drains and scheduling cleaning and inspections once or twice a year. When drains and sewer lines are neglected, accumulated buildup and other potential blockages may cause serious clogs and sewage backup as well as potential sewer line damage.

During months of heavy rainfall, storm drains, in particular, are prone to flooding when they are clogged with debris such as leaves, litter, and grease. They may also be affected by snow and ice and cannot adequately collect rainwater as intended. Flooding may also occur when drains are unable to handle excessive rainfall over a short period of time.

Gillece Services provides drain cleaning through snaking and high velocity jetting, depending on the extent of a clog and associated buildup. The $99 drain cleaning special includes snaking using Gilley’s Clog Crusher™, which alleviates clogs often caused by hair, food, and other common debris particles. High velocity jetting is a more intensive process using a water-propelled hose to cut through grease, hard scale, and, potentially, roots from intruding trees. Debris is broken up while pipe walls are washed down and cleaned.

In conjunction with drain cleaning, Gillece offers and performs sewer video inspections. Using a special sewer camera, Gillece Plumbing Technicians are able to see into drains and sewer lines to accurately identify and locate problems. A small camera head on a line of cable can be fed through a drain up to 200 feet. Both technician and homeowner can view the images captured by the camera on a high-definition monitor. Following the sewer/drain inspection, relevant drain cleaning options or possible sewer repair methods are presented.
