"With the new ADA Standards for Accessible Design now fully in effect for public facilities, it has never been more important to make sure your public access pool and spa are safely accessible to all users, regardless of ability."

Elberton, GA (PRWEB) June 15, 2013

Rehabmart.com, an online e-commerce company that sells rehabilitation and medical supplies, has joined into a distribution alliance with Spectrum Aquatics to offer their ADA compliant Portable Freedom Pool Lift to a more comprehensive consumer audience. Headquartered in Missoula, Montana, Spectrum Aquatics specializes in developing, designing and manufacturing a broad array of premium quality, state-of-the-art commercial swimming pool and spa deck equipment. Their vast and popular product lines include starting platforms, grab rails and handrails, stanchion posts and anchors, swim platforms, water slides, ladders, diving stands and ADA compliant pool lifts and assisted access equipment.

Featuring a robust operating system, their ADA compliant Portable Freedom Pool Lift is battery powered and self-operable from both the water and deck. Highlighting a 300 pound lifting capacity, the Portable Freedom does not require an anchor and is instead mounted on an easily moved and weighted base. When not in use, the lift can be folded over the base to conserve storage space, and the handle can also be removed. Maximizing protection against corrosion, the fully sealed counter weight case additionally helps prevent rust buildup on a concrete or tiled deck.

The Portable Freedom Pool Lift’s base also has six points of contact with the deck which increases safety and stability when the locking stabilizer arms are extended. These six points are covered by nonslip pads to prevent damage to the pool deck. Other features include a watertight remote control that can be utilized in and out of the water, one pair of stationary casters and one pair of locking casters, and a secure rotation of 360 degrees. Special options help a facility to further customize this lift to their specifications and include a transport cart, anchor kit, covers, and replacement remote controls and seat arms.

“We are thrilled to introduce more consumers to the helpful Portable Freedom Pool Lift from Spectrum Aquatics,” said Hulet Smith, OTR/L, MBA and CEO of Rehabmart. “With the new ADA Standards for Accessible Design now fully in effect for public facilities, it has never been more important to make sure your public access pool and spa are safely accessible to all users, regardless of ability. The Portable Freedom lift ensures ADA compliance and helps all of your clients and customers to get in and out of your pool with dignity and security, while it is also easily moved to other pools within your facility, eliminating the need for two lifts. We are very proud to offer this, and all of the exceptional quality ADA compliant lifts and equipment from Spectrum Aquatics to our customers at Rehabmart.com.”
