Prenatal fitness classes in the east bay are limited. Most exercise classes for pregnant women in the bay area focus on yoga or pilates with an emphasis on being a support group.

Brooklyn Academy Roots, located in Jack London Square, changes up the regular prenatal exercise class by offering a real workout that is customized for each participant. Pregnant and FIT! class offers a safe and fun setting to get a moderate workout for any woman at any trimester. This class uses body weight, free weights, yoga poses and pilates to give a full body workout while accentuating core strengthening moves.

Brooklyn Academy Roots is a fitness center that provides a wide range of fitness expertise. Pilates, Self-Defense, Personal Training, Holistic Nutrition and Martial Arts classes are given. Pregnant and FIT! is BAR's newest class starting January 6th, 2013 at 10am and every Sunday thereafter.
