PropertyOwner.us.org is preparing to make all of their customer service efforts available in Spanish, company officials said yesterday.
“A substantial number of our customers in North America speak Spanish as their first language,” a company spokesman said. “We need to be able to relate to them in their own language in order to offer them the same level of customer support as everyone else.”
The initiative will start with the company hiring native Spanish speakers for their customer service phone banks, Fraser said, and then expand throughout the customer service infrastructure.
“The phone bank is often the first point of contact with our customer service staff, so we have to get that settled first,” the company said. “Then, we will move on to adding Spanish language versions of our blog, social media interactions and apps for smart phones and tablets. It's the way to go.”
The move to offer Spanish customer service came about, the company rep said, because call center workers were reporting problems helping out customers who speak English as a second language.
“We don't want our customers to feel like we don't understand them when they contact us with a question or concern,” the company said. “We want to relate to them on their level, with an understanding of their culture. This is how we will make that happen.”
The company hopes to fill the Spanish speaking customer service posts at their call centers by the end of the month, and roll out their other efforts in March, shares PropertyOwner.us.org.
“This is going to be a great leap forward in our customer service efforts,” shared the company.
