Garland Canada's new Quick-Slope™ s designed to designed to effectively disperse harmful standing water on low-slope modified bitumen roofs. The modified acrylic cementitious material is easy-to-apply, and may be trowled out quickly over existing roofing materials, without removal, once the surface is cleaned and prepared. Quick-Slope may be used to reduce and redirect water toward existing scuppers or drains, or increase the localized slope. Garland Canada's Quick-Slope offers a cost-effective alternative to adding drains or crickets, and may be added to ponded areas to help water travel in multiple directions to speed up evaporation. The low-odour product creates a tenacious bond to new or existing smooth or mineral roof systems.
According to Charbel Boulos, P.Eng., general manager of Garland Canada Inc., “Besides being economical, remarkably tough, and easy to apply, Quick-Slope is low-odour and non-volatile, so it can be applied without any disruption to the workplace, and with minimal waste.”
Due to its specialized dry polymers and chemical makeup, Quick-Slope material is extremely durable once cured. It can be coated with Garland’s Pyramic® or Garla-Brite® roof coatings, to achieve a highly reflective finish.
