Acquia recently announced the finalists for their second annual Partner Site of the Year awards and r2integrated has been selected as a finalist in the social category for the music marketplace website, BandHappy. R2i is an Acquia Drupal Enterprise Partner and designed and built the BandHappy site leveraging the Drupal CMS. The site is a musician social community portal for teachers and students. Final winners will be announced at DrupalCon in Portland, May 20-24.
The site brings together people looking to learn an instrument, sing, or read music with those who can teach those skill sets. Lessons are given either online or ‘on-tour’ and available sessions can be accessed via the site which is complete with teacher profiles, session scheduling, message support and an e-commerce store. BandHappy is one of the first online communities of its kind for aspiring, experienced and professional musicians. The Drupal CMS based site allowed r2i to deliver all the required back-end database functionality as well as a simple, user-friendly interface for site visitors.
R2i was selected as a finalist among 114 nominees and is in the company of other high profile Drupal Partners for final selection.
