South Central Kentucky (PRWEB) January 09, 2013
The new sign, “WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Ford Brothers,” side by side with “Ford Brothers, Inc. Auctioneers” signals the three-office company’s residential service expansion as the newest franchise with Weichert Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. (WREA). Owners Sam Ford, Matt Ford, Danny Ford and Devin Ford were joined in the announcement by WREA President Martin J. Rueter.
“We are extremely proud and pleased that the company known for more than 40 years of outstanding service to clients throughout south central Kentucky is now a member of the Weichert family,” Rueter said.
Managing Broker Matt Ford reported that the decision to become an independently owned and operated Weichert® franchise was based “not only on brand I.D. but what comes with the Weichert brand.” Citing the franchise’s superior Internet presence, agent training and support, he said, “It was Weichert’s systems that really sold us.”
Ford said the group wants to better train their agents “so that they can be more successful and provide the best possible service to our residential clients.” In so doing, the residential part of the family business “will stand alone,” separate from, but as well known and respected as, the Ford name has become with its award-winning auctioneering.
Matt Ford, with the support of his father, Broker Danny Ford, manages the office located at 1406 South Highway 27 in Somerset. Managing Broker Devin Ford directs business at 64 Keavy Road in London. Sam Ford, the three-office firm’s Principal Broker, manages the business at 136 US Highway 25 C in Mt. Vernon. He was a founder of the company in 1965 and is a past president of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). The company holds membership in the NAA, as well as the Kentucky Auctioneers Association (KAA) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).
WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Ford Brothers in Somerset will host an open house event under the new banner on January 12 with the help of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce. Other grand re-openings in London and Mt. Vernon will be announced. Meanwhile, a new “Weichert-style” recruiting campaign will be rolled out in early January.
