The third and final leg of the online scavenger hunt hosted by Houstory – creator of The Heirloom Registry – started today. Participants have until March 10 to enter the contest for a chance to win the remaining $300 in prizes – including a Flip-Pal mobile scanner.
The weeklong event, which started this past Monday, included three separate hunts, a total prize pool of more than $500 and 12 popular family history, antique and genealogy sponsor blogs.
Remaining prizes include family history and genealogy research products from Marian Pierre-Louise, Janet Hovorka and Denise Levenick; “Warman's Antiques & Collectibles 2014”; “Antique Trader Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide 2013”; Heirloom Registry Standard Stickers and the Flip-Pal mobile scanner.
On Thursday, Houstory announced a winner for the first leg of the hunt: Kimberly Nagy of Downers Grove, Ill. Nagy claimed a family history prize package valued at approximately $100 – including products from The Heirloom Registry, Family Tree Magazine, genealogists Hovorka and Pierre-Louis.
“It’s been a lot of fun this week,” said Dan Hiestand, Houstory marketing director. “And people still have a few more days to take advantage of this opportunity to win some great prizes.”
