Hosted and On-Premise SMTP Server Solutions

Over the past two years, sending messages for thousands of customers has given us great insight into system bottlenecks and has uncovered opportunities to improve performance and deliverability.

Claymont, DE (PRWEB) October 08, 2012

SocketLabs, Inc., the leading provider of hosted and on-premise SMTP server solutions, announced today the availability of a major new update to its Hurricane MTA Server software. Version 2.0 is a giant leap forward in enterprise class SMTP servers through not only great performance but, groundbreaking feature additions that are unique to the marketplace.

Version 2.0 of Hurricane MTA Server pushes beyond SMTP into new areas of message and event notification delivery over HTTP. Some of these notable new features include:

Built on the newer .Net 4.0 platform, Hurricane MTA Server performs up to 30% faster and more efficient than previous versions.

Communicating with Cloud-based services just got a lot easier with the new HTTP/S Message Engine in Hurricane MTA Server. It is a powerful new way to send, receive, queue and deliver any HTTP/S POST or GET request.

The HTTP/S Event Engine can be configured within Hurricane MTA Server to send HTTP/S POST messages for Sent, Bounces, Failures, and Feedback Loop events making integration with any application or operating system quick and effortless.

Integration with Amazon’s CloudWatch monitoring system enables a single point of monitoring for all Hurricane MTA Server health and performance data. Customers with an Amazon CloudWatch account can easily set up alerts to conditions, such as high CPU levels or email queue levels.

Automated scheduling of log and database purging activities helps ensure Hurricane MTA Server continues to run optimally with less maintenance required.

“Running our own cloud SMTP service, Email On-Demand (which we built on top of Hurricane MTA Server) has given us the opportunity to sit in the driver seat and push the MTA to new limits” said SocketLabs’ President John Alessi. “Over the past two years, sending messages for thousands of customers has given us great insight into system bottlenecks and has uncovered opportunities to improve performance and deliverability. Our on-premise customers can now take advantage of these powerful improvements based on what we have learned.”
