Dropbox Integration to Enable Online Access and Sharing for Sohodox 8 Users
Small businesses are looking for a simple, reliable document management system with online access and sharing. The newly released version 8 of Sohodox, a small business document management software has achieved this through Dropbox integration. Sohodox is a product of ITAZ Technologies, specialists in the field for over 13 years.
Sohodox version 8 includes support for Windows 8. Besides this and Dropbox integration, Sohodox now lets you scan both sides of a document or stack of documents even if your scanner does not support duplex scanning. This is possible by the introduction of the Virtual Duplex Scanning mode. Among other additions, is the ability to update common meta data for multiple documents together instead of individually updating each document and a redesigned scan window that simplifies the scanning process even further.
Shedding more light on the Dropbox integration, Shiraz Ahmed, CEO of ITAZ Technologies said, "Small business workers' mobility is no longer restricted by geographical constraints. They prefer to be where their customers are and often have to be on the move. Naturally, they expect their software to let them access their business documents from outside the office as well. We wanted to enable all this in SOHODOX without affecting its legendary simplicity and affordable pricing. We believe we have achieved this with the way we integrate with Dropbox. The ability of Sohodox to sync your documents with Dropbox online means you can now not just access your documents from anywhere on the planet, you can also share them with others who might need to refer to them."
Users can now start work on a document in SOHODOX, sync it with Dropbox and then finish work on the document from their home PC. The updated document will be available in SOHODOX, when they are back in the office.
SOHODOX v8 integration with Dropbox also enables remote addition of documents. So while on the road, a user can use their smart phone’s camera to photograph a document. They can then add the document photo to the Dropbox app on their smartphone. When they are back in the office the newly added document will be available in SOHODOX!
In addition to these features, SOHODOX can now display a preview of MS Outlook email messages. These new features in addition to existing powerful features like the ability to specify different sets of meta data for each type of document and creating links between documents makes SOHODOX the document management tool of choice for small businesses.
SOHODOX 8 makes it even easier for small businesses to move towards a paperless office.
