Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 15, 2012

Spine Treatment Centers of America (Spine Treatment Centers) is pleased to announce it is teaming up with Thomas Cartwright, M.D., in Houston, Texas. Spine Treatment Centers works with leading specialists in orthopedic spine surgery, neurosurgery and interventional pain management. Together they offer individuals suffering with back and neck pain comprehensive treatment with a focus on minimally invasive surgical solutions.

As an orthopedic spine surgeon, Dr. Cartwright specializes in treating Houston patients with cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal conditions. He adheres to a conservative approach in treating nerve pain that results from either trauma or degenerative issues.

While priding himself on being a dedicated surgeon, Dr. Cartwright believes in exhausting conservative treatments such as physical therapy and exercise before proceeding to interventional epidural injections and minimally invasive surgical solutions.

Dr. Cartwright received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, following admission to medical school after only three years of undergraduate study. He continued his medical education with an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, a level 1 trauma center. Thereafter, he completed his residency in orthopedics at the New York City Catholic Medical Center. Dedicated to learning as much as possible about back and neck issues, he pursued dual spine fellowships at the Texas Back Institute and Queen’s Medical Center in England.

Dr. Cartwright has been recognized by H Texas Magazine as a “Houston Tops Docs” from 2009 through 2012. In addition, Texas Monthly Magazine has named Dr. Cartwright as one of the “Super Docs” in 2008 through 2012.

“Spine Treatment Centers is pleased to be collaborating with a leading orthopedic spine surgeon like Dr. Cartwright, to bring compassionate care and advanced technologies to patients,” said Sam Bailey, PhD, chairman of Spine Treatment Centers.
