6th Avenue Chelsea Festival
The Spring festival season gets underway with the 6th Avenue Chelsea Festival, which will be occurring in Manhattan and occupying the blocks from 23rd to 32nd Street on Saturday April 6, 2013. Start the weekend out right by strolling through this large New York City Street Festival that will have a variety of tasty cuisines to choose from, as well as homemade jewelry and arts and crafts being sold by the many vendors participating in the 6th Avenue Chelsea Festival. After guests have had their fill of the NYC festival, they can head to nearby Times Square to catch one of the popular Broadway shows or admire the view of Manhattan from high above by heading to the Top of the Rock in Rockefeller Center. New York City is breathtaking from up there this time of year.

23rd Annual Upper Broadway
The 23rd Annual Upper Broadway Festival is one of the biggest New York City street fairs of the season, and is held in front of Columbia and Barnard Colleges. This year, it will take place on April 20, 2013, is expecting to attract upwards of 100,000 visitors. This New York City festival will consist of dozens of tents that will highlight the artistic feel of this particular fair with plenty of antiques and arts and crafts being sold. There will of course also be a huge amount of all sorts of yummy cuisines being offered, and even some fresh plants available to take home. Browse through the festival while listening to the live music that will be playing throughout the event. The Upper Broadway Spring Festival is one of the first outdoor festivals of the year in New York City, and is also an opportunity to discover some of the other fun things to do in this neighborhood of NYC.

Chinatown Festival on Lafayette
The Chinatown Festival on Lafayette Street will have a distinctive Asian influence that will come out in the foods and other items being sold at this New York City street fair. This NYC street festival will set up from Canal Street to Leonard Street on April 21, 2013. After visitors have had a chance to explore the Chinatown Festival, browse through some of the Chinatown shops in the hopes of getting some additional bargains and New York City deals.

Lexington Avenue May 4
The slew of Spring NYC festivals continues into early May, and one to check out is the Lexington Avenue festival, which takes place on Lexington Avenue from 60th to 66th Street on May 4, 2013. Delicious smells will be wafting through the air and enticing visitors to order lunch or a snack at one of the vendors selling corn on the cob, tasty gyros, traditional carnival food or more authentic ethnic dishes. There will also be a variety of knick-knack stands peppered along the blocks, displaying affordable scarves and jewelry. After visitors have finished exploring the street fair, they can browse through some of the other bargain stores lining Lexington Avenue for some cheap souvenirs to commemorate their trip. Visit all the popular and iconic NYC attractions in the area, and definitely snap a photo in front of the Chrysler Building or at one of the other famous sights on Lexington Avenue.

Brighton 5th Street Beach Festival
The Brighton 5th Street festival in Brooklyn will have a fun beachy feel, and visitors can soak up the sun at this New York City street fair on Sunday May 5, 2013. The street fair will be situated between Brighton Beach Avenue and Brightwater Court. Since this Brooklyn street fair is so close to Coney Island, you’ll find tons of popular [thing to do with kids nearby. Kids and adults alike will love the nostalgic atmosphere of Coney Island; with its boardwalk, ferris wheel, and old-time feel, it would be a great idea to save some time to discover Coney Island with the whole family. If it is warm enough out, bring a bathing suit for some relaxing at the beach after the Brighton 5th Street Beach Fair.
