Leavenworth, Kansas (PRWEB) January 14, 2013
The University of Saint Mary has added a new concentration to its respected Master of Business Administration program this fall. The new course of study in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) reflects the growing concern of organizations around the world about the effective management of risk in their endeavors.
ERM is defined as a strategic system that manages risk according to the needs of an organization without impeding growth or profits. Designed for individuals who are new to the field or who deal with risk management professionals on a regular basis, the ERM concentration of the MBA program at Saint Mary’s will differ from competitors’ programs through an integrative approach to ERM with a focus on the basics, ethics and behavioral aspects of the field.
The new ERM concentration is only offered online, where students can also choose MBA concentrations in Finance, General Management, Health Care Management, Human Resource Management, and Marketing and Advertising Management. Coursework incorporates the Catholic university’s mission and core values. It is taught by faculty with ample real-world experience in the competitive environment of business today. The 36-credit-hour MBA offers six opportunities each year to begin the program.
