Renowned for extraordinary Mountain Style designs, PrecisionCraft Log and Timber Homes and its design firm, Mountain Architects have always striven toward customer satisfaction. PrecisionCraft presents yet another Inspired Living story, this one about an Oregon couple and their custom log home retreat resting at the base of Mt. Hood.
For Mark and Crystal, building a third home where they could enjoy their favorite winter activities, was a dream their whole family would benefit from. Wanting to build a home that was both a log home and a sustainable home, the Oregon couple teamed up with Mountain Architects and PrecisionCraft Log and Timber Homes to create their winter getaway that would go on to become the first log home to receive a LEED Platinum rating.
LEED, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a framework for builders and homeowners that identifies green designs to develop high-performance homes. This 3,600 square foot Oregon log home was built to meet environmental and performance goals while retaining the beauty and functionality of a custom mountain getaway.
