Managing long-term, chronic pain conditions is our focus. Our new MRI will help us to diagnose our patients quickly and efficiently.
Thousand Oaks, California (PRWEB) March 17, 2013
Comprehensive Pain Management Center (CPMC) in Thousand Oaks, California has been treating patients for moderate to severe pain since 2012. Beginning April 1st, 2013 CPMC will include advanced diagnostic imaging services on site.
Dr. Lin and the Comprehensive Pain Management Center have recently acquired a GE 1.5 Tesla 450-Watt, Open MRI. The addition of the on-site MRI will allow Dr. Lin to diagnose and treat his patients more effectively and efficiently.
“MRI is a hugely valuable diagnostic tool. Rather than sending patients off-site for diagnostic studies, we can now provide a better standard of diagnosis, treatment and care in-house.” Dr. Lin said.
Dr. Lin and his team provide relief from a multitude of painful conditions, for patients from all walks of life. He works to identify the source of the pain and then utilizes his many years of experience and expertise to identify and implement the best treatment options for his patients.
CPMC is able to effectively treat a wide variety of painful conditions including Scoliosis, Fibromyalgia, Post-Herpetic Neuralgia, Post-Laminectomy Syndrome, Phantom Limb Pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Arthritis, Spinal Stenosis and Degenerative Disk Disease. Dr. Lin’s team strives to achieve rapid and long-lasting pain relief for patients with moderate to severe, chronic and transitory pain management needs.
“We strive to find the specific cause of our patient’s pain by pairing diagnostic studies with a complete physical examination and medical history evaluation. Once we have determined the cause of pain, we can provide relief almost immediately” Dr. Lin said.
There are multitudes of treatment options available ranging from non-invasive (such as oral medications and physical therapy) to more aggressive procedures like Caudal Steroid Injections, Lumbar Epidural Steroid Injections and Stellate Ganglion Blocks.
The specific type of treatment used for pain management will vary considerably based on the cause and type of pain a patient is experiencing.
Dr. Lin prescribes medications to treat and manage pain. He works closely with his patients to determine the safe and most effective use of available narcotic and anti-inflammatory medications.
Physical therapy is frequently suggested as an adjunct to traditional pain management treatment to improve range of motion and alleviate pain. Physical Therapy is often used to help a patient recover from infection or injury.
“Managing long-term, chronic pain conditions is our focus” Dr. Lin said.
