TOLEDO, Ohio (PRWEB) April 23, 2013
Swan Creek Retirement Village again is recognized as one of the nation's best in "U.S. News & World Report's" Best Nursing Homes of 2013.
Swan Creek's Health Care Center earned an overall five-star rating. It's the fourth year the center's health inspections, nurse staffing and quality of care has received the same top ranking.
The Health Care Center is part of Swan Creek Retirement Village, 5916 Cresthaven Ln., Toledo, Ohio, a community offering Lucas County's active seniors a variety of living options and services since 1989. Built on 34 wooded acres, Swan Creek offers independent and assisted living, rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, plus in-home care.
"U.S. News" ranked more than 15,000 nursing homes for the study; only 14 percent of Ohio's homes received the same five-star rating as the Health Care Center.
"It is our mission to enhance our residents' physical and spiritual well-being. This fourth five-star ranking from 'U.S. News' affirms our team's dedication to excellence," Executive Director Jean Morgan says.
The "U.S. News" report shows Swan Creek's nurses and therapists spend 63 percent more time with each resident -- that's about two hours and 35 minutes per person -- than the state average.
