Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) December 7, 2010

Triangulate today announced the release of the online dating site, http://www.DateBuzz.com. DateBuzz is the first online dating platform that is powered by users’ bite-sized votes on the specific pieces of dater profiles they find dateworthy and buzzworthy. Votes on what a user finds dateworthy fuel his or her romantic matches, while votes on what a user finds buzzworthy delivers feedback to co-daters.

In a recent poll of online daters conducted by Triangulate, sixty-five percent of respondents indicated they were “unsatisfied” or “very unsatisfied” with their past online dating experiences. Eighty-four percent indicated either a lack of support or unqualified matches as the primary reason for their dissatisfaction. DateBuzz seeks to reverse this trend by delivering highly-targeted matches and an interactive “community” feel that is unprecedented in the online dating industry.

The DateBuzz feature set includes:

  •     The Buzz Community: A section of the site where users can comment and vote on those parts of other profiles they find buzzworthy (without any impact on their romantic matches). Votes provide a feedback loop to co-daters. A summary of the most buzzworthy profile responses (based on votes) are displayed for further insight.
  •     DateBuzz Recommendation Engine: A continuous stream of feedback shown to users as they move through the site, highlighting which aspects of any given dater’s profile may be the most appealing to them and what a particular dater may like about them. A user’s personal voting history and the voting history of those very similar to them power this feature.
  •     Buzz About Me Profiles: A personal profile on steroids. Users receive unparalleled feedback on all aspects of their profile based on votes throughout the site. Displayed privately to users.

“The widely-accepted model for online dating leaves users feeling isolated and insecure by disregarding the fact that thousands of others are going through the same process at the same time,” said Sunil Nagaraj, chief executive officer and co-founder of Triangulate. “We saw an incredible opportunity here to leverage the community-base to make the experience more interactive. Our move towards a community-driven model allows us to do two things no other site can. First, we’re able to provide comprehensive feedback from real people to ensure our daters are putting their best foot forward. And secondly, we’re able to be extremely granular about what a user likes and pair this with lessons from the community’s actions. Ultimately, these two things allow a dater’s actions on the site to guide them towards that special person that is their perfect fit.”

The DateBuzz community is rapidly expanding and the site is offering a free 3-month subscription to all users that register before Valentine’s Day 2011. Sign-up takes just a minute and can be completed using Facebook credentials or creating an original login. To join, visit http://www.DateBuzz.com.
