Our social media presence and particularly our Facebook page is on the move. We want the Facebook page to enhance brand awareness, to be an entertaining, educational destination, and a sounding board for the off-road community.

4 Wheel Parts, industry leading retailer of aftermarket parts for the off-road industry, recently reached the 50,000 “Likes” milestone on its Facebook page. The page is the hub where the off-road community gathers to share experiences, photos, and enter exclusive contests with valued prizes. “Our social media presence and particularly our Facebook page is on the move,” says Kevin Rourke, 4 Wheel Parts’ Director of e-Commerce. “We want the Facebook page to enhance brand awareness, to be an entertaining, educational destination, and a sounding board for the off-road community.”

Launched in May, 2009, the page has gained traction as a great resource for information on Truck & Jeep fests, contests and giveaways, special deals on auto parts and truck accessories, 4x4 races and events, and off-road related causes. Over the 2012 holidays, 4 Wheel Parts held a popular Pick Your Present Contest on the Facebook page where entrants described how they would use the prizes they chose. Seven winners got into the holiday spirit and wrote about the specific off-road gear they wanted and why they wanted it.

Facebook page visitors have a chance to caption photos of 4x4s and post their own shots. Users can take polls, clip coupons and comment on events, technology and causes impacting the off-road community. Comments range from James Heath’s “Man I love 4 Wheel Parts” to Cara Osborne’s “I've been there whilst on holiday, can never get away from racing, very cool!!! Enjoyed meeting the Mulisha gang at Anaheim supercross too!” to Jon McCarthy’s “I wanna drive!”

Currently, the Facebook page is promoting an Instagram Contest coordinated with Truck and Jeep Fest events happening nationwide throughout this year. 4 Wheel Parts plans upcoming Facebook page contests and up-to-the-minute coverage on the off-road scene.
