Tulsa Oklahoma (PRWEB) June 20, 2013
The Tulsa metropolitan area has been performing very well in the past months, according to Tulsa, OK real estate expert Kat Morrissey. She cites recent accolades from some of the country’s leading publications such as Forbes and Bloomberg/Businessweek as among the indicators of the region’s continuously improving economy and overall quality of life.
“Tulsa is a great place to live and this is something that area residents like myself have always known,” says Morrissey. “Still, it’s heartening to get national recognition as well and our city has been mentioned quite a few times in various publications in recent months. This includes getting ranked #38 in Bloomberg/Businessweek’s list of ‘America’s 50 Best Cities’ and #54 in Forbes’ list of the ‘Best Places for Business and Careers’ in the country.”
Forbes ranked the city #49 in the Cost of Doing Business category, #99 in Job Growth and #140 in Education. Other metrics that were considered include income growth, projected economic growth, and a variety of quality of life issues. As for the Bloomberg/Businessweek ranking, it was based on economic, educational, crime, air quality, and leisure factors. These include the number of bars, colleges, libraries, museums, pro sports teams, restaurants, the ratio of degree holders in the population, and so on.
The seat of Tulsa County, Tulsa has a population of 391,906 (2010 Census) and is Oklahoma’s second largest city, next only to Oklahoma City. It has a total area of almost 200 square miles and is the heart of an expansive metropolitan region that includes the cities of Bartlesville, Bixby, Broken Arrow, Claremore, Coweta, Jenks, Owasso, Sand Springs, and Sapulpa.
“Tulsa has also been named one of ‘America’s Best Adventure Towns’ by National Geographic,” adds Morrissey. “All this just goes to show that Tulsa is a place that anyone would love to call home, whether you want to raise a family, start a business or a career, or retire.”
A multimillion-dollar producer, Morrissey specializes not only in properties within Tulsa, but is also an expert in the Broken Arrow, Bixby, Coweta, Wagoner, and Jenks, Oklahoma real estate markets. She was named a Five-Star Realtor by Oklahoma Magazine in 2011 and takes pride in providing only the highest level of service. She credits her success to years of marketing experience as a small business owner and to her emphasis on customer service.
“If you’re thinking about making the move to the area, just give me a call,” she says. “There’s nothing I love more than helping folks find out what makes Tulsa great and I look forward to helping you find the right home and neighborhood here.”
