J.J. Kane today announced a large used construction equipment auction to be held in Philadelphia, PA, Sat. June 8, 2013. There will be more than 350 pieces of construction equipment, including used bucket trucks, underground, power line and utility equipment, trucks, trailers and light- duty vehicles that are surplus to the present needs of: PPL Electric Utilities, PSE&G Co., PECO An Exelon Company, Baltimore Gas & Electric, PEPCO, Atlantic City Electric, Asplundh Tree Expert Co., Townships, Boroughs & Municipalities, area contractors, and others.
The auction is live with bidding starting at 8:30 a.m. Sat. June 8, and bidders do not have to be present to participate. Equipment is on-site in Philadelphia, PA, and will be available for bidding online. Equipment is added to the auction inventory daily, and bidders are encouraged to sign up for priority email updates to stay informed of the new items. Bidders can inspect auction equipment Fri. June 7, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and on sale day, Sat. June 8, beginning at 7:30 a.m. JJ Kane is well-known for used bucket truck and utility equipment auctions. However, auctions also feature many used light-duty trucks, cars and SUVs.
JJ Kane auctions are absolute, meaning that everything sells to the highest bidder, regardless of price. There are no minimums or reserves at an absolute auction, and owners are not allowed to bid on equipment they have consigned to the auction. Selling price is determined by the bidders participating in the auction, and no one else. The auction offers direct access to the equipment contractors need, and differs from other auctions in that you don’t have to be a dealer to buy. Anyone can register and connect directly with buyers and sellers through this auction company, helping both parties to exchange equipment at a fair price.
"JJ Kane provides the services that are important to buyers and sellers in the way that is most convenient for them. Sellers benefit from a convenient and cost-effective way to sell equipment for competitive market value. Buyers can kick the tires and inspect items personally, or if they prefer, they can make purchases online without the time and expense incurred with traveling to an auction,” says Joe Kane, founder of J.J. Kane Auctioneers.
