People in Massachusetts now have a service that not only can be used to monitor sex offenders in their communities but that will actually send them alerts about sex offenders as they move into their neighborhoods.

Community Voices and AlertID™ announced their partnership to help make AlertID’s free mobile app and online public safety information services available to all residents of Massachusetts. Community Voices has launched its AlertID group and invites residents interested in crime prevention and child safety to join its group page at http://www.AlertID.com/Voices.
Since 2004, Community Voices (Voices), a child and victim protection and advocacy organization, has been a strong voice for victims of crime by connecting them with resources and support and advocating for their rights. Voices takes a proactive approach to protecting children and communities by offering child safety and internet safety events, and it is committed to advocating for laws that keep communities safe. Voices strongly respects the rights and dignity of victims of crime.
“People in Massachusetts now have a service that not only can be used to monitor sex offenders in their communities but that will actually send them alerts about sex offenders as they move into their neighborhoods,” Community Voices Founder Laurie Myers said.
AlertID has proven to help reduce crime and uses advanced technology to create a communication platform that connects citizens and federal, state, and local authorities to provide critical information and alerts that can help people protect their families and communities.
Massachusetts’s residents may join AlertID for free at http://www.AlertID.com and then receive universal access to sex offender alerts, severe weather advisories, online community watch discussion groups, AlertID’s Secure Social Network and other free AlertID services. They can monitor areas around their homes, schools, offices, churches, parks and even their current locations. Members may receive alerts on their smartphones, iPads or computers, and they may choose the types of alerts they wish to receive.
“We are very pleased to be working with Community Voices, which has been a strong advocate for so many affected by crime. Working together, we can help make our communities safer places to live,” said Keli Wilson, Founder, AlertID.
