Warble Entertainment Agency (http://www.warble-entertainment.com) is a music booking company located in the North West of England that provides band hire and entertainers for events UK wide. With a roster of over 1000 acts that contains everything from wedding bands and jazz music right through to fire performers and magicians one of the main difficulties has always been to get across the ‘Warble’ message and diversity of entertainment available.
“We’ve always invested quite heavily in technology because we want our customers to have a fantastic experience when they visit our website or feel secure in a straightforward booking process”, explains Warble Entertainment director Tracey Bullock. “One area that has proven quite difficult though is to get our message and scope across to potential customers at trade shows or wedding fayres. Whilst we take the time to attend these and often get the opportunity to showcase many acts, for example live function bands or caricaturists, our roster is so much more detailed and diverse than this. So, when we came across AR we felt like all of our problems had been solved.”
But, what is AR? Tracey explains, “Well, without getting too technical, if you think Harry Potter and the moving photos that are depicted in the movies you are getting close. Basically, AR can bring still images to life via the use of a free downloadable app on a mobile phone or tablet. In our case we have had the Warble brochure designed and printed in the normal manner with text and images. However, when the AR logo is seen on an image you can hold your phone over the image and it will come to life in all of its glory with both movement and audio. We are very excited and believe that AR is going to change print as we know it. For us, personally, it means we have been able to include over thirty videos of wedding musicians, corporate entertainers, party bands and more… all in a small brochure!”
Warble is looking to release the brochure towards the end of February and will be at various wedding and corporate shows around the UK for the following months.
“We don’t see that the brochure will instantly reap rewards, but, we do feel that our customers will appreciate having something tangible that they can go away with and show family, friends and colleagues. And, from our point of view if that helps to spread the Warble brand and name it can only be a good thing. For example, many brides will approach us at a wedding fayre with a view to booking entertainment for a wedding. But, we may not be showcasing their particular choice of entertainment that day. But, via the Warble brochure we can now not only show our potential customers a whole multitude of videos and wedding performers but they also get the opportunity to take them home in a beautifully designed brochure and show parents or ask for friend’s opinions. Not everybody carries laptops around with them, but nearly everybody has a phone these days and so we feel that the more accessible Warble becomes via the use of modern technological advances the more we remain ahead of the competition.”
The brochure is bright, friendly, and interactive and covers all bases. “We didn’t want to make it specifically a wedding entertainment brochure as that would alienate our corporate clients, or, those just looking to hire entertainment for a party. So, we opted for a Summer festival theme and believe that the balance has been perfectly achieved.”
