Inspired by The Huffington Post’s article on getting through a wedding calmly, Do the Bride a Favor today released a list of tips for simple fun wedding decorations.
The HuffPost article by Claudia Maittlen-Harris highlighted how a bride should think about her day in order to keep perspective on what the wedding day is celebrating, the look of the reception hall, how to treat the bridal party, and to stay nourished on the big day. Do the Bride a Favor decided to release their decorating tips for carrying the wedding theme in a simple way.
“Wedding themes can get out of control very quickly which can add to the chaos of wedding day set-up. An easy way of keeping that under control is picking your wedding centerpieces as the theme statement. Instead of having an overdone reception hall really think on your centerpiece and spiral out from there with smaller details,” stated DoTheBrideAFavor.com
Do the Bride a Favor’s list includes suggestions based on theme:
Color – For weddings where the theme is a color, try having a bulk of that color in the centerpiece rather than spread through every item. A fun and interesting way to do this is to use large clear vases filled with the flower of your color theme submerged in water. The effect is simple, concentrated, and interesting.
Candy – A big trend has been candy bars. Instead of having candy everywhere do one big candy bar area in the back of the reception hall with matching or similar containers. Another option for smaller venues is to do a candy machine centerpiece with assorted hard candies of different colors.
Flowers – Sometimes flowers are what is desired, but may be outside the budget. Fun, cheaper alternatives to use in centerpieces are feathers, brightly colored fruits, sand, and candles.
Do the Bride a Favor looks forward to providing helpful information to brides and anyone interested in unique ways of decorating and gift giving.
