When customers do a more thorough evaluation, they discover that TSW Alloy Wheels are superior in innovation, quality, performance as well as good looks.

For over forty years, TSW Alloy Wheels has been committed to advancing the state of the art in the design and manufacturing of aftermarket wheels. Today, that pursuit has reached its perigee with the stunning Tanaka model, the ultimate combination of head-turning good looks and lightweight, durable construction for aftermarket wheels.

The Tanaka is now available in a wide range of sizes, from 17 inch to 20-inch diameter in five different five-lug configurations, to fit the widest range of cars and SUVs.

Tanaka custom wheels make a very contemporary statement, enabling the car crowd to personalize their vehicles. The distinctive, minimalist five-spoke design and deep-dish center hub is available in Hyper Silver or classic Matte Black.

What sets the Tanaka Alloy wheel apart from the quotidian aftermarket wheel is its advanced rotary-forged manufacturing process. Rotary forging results in a wheel that is both dramatically lighter weight than a conventional cast alloy wheel, while also being stronger, with greater impact resistance. A rotary forged wheel is created from a single billet of specialized aluminum alloy. Costly, complex computer-controlled machinery is required to spin the initial casting while under intense pressure, fundamentally altering the molecular properties of the alloy. This creates a much tighter grain structure than found in a cast wheel. The resulting mechanical strength allows TSW manufacturing engineers to reduce the thickness of the rim, reducing unsprung weight.

“At TSW, we recognize that consumers are attracted first to the design and style of the wheels they are going to put on their ride,” observed Terence Scheckter, president of TSW Alloy Wheels. “When customers do a more thorough evaluation, they discover that TSW Alloy Wheels are superior in innovation, quality and performance as well as good looks,” he concluded.

TSW is a big believer in the staggered wheels concept, in which slightly larger wheels and tires are mounted on the rear axle than on the front. This staggered approach means more rubber meets the road at the business end of the drive train, improving traction and both linear and lateral acceleration. Staggered wheels also give your vehicle a more aggressive stance and a masculine customized look. Accordingly, TSW offers the Tanaka in a wide array of sizes, with wheels in 17”, 18”, 19” and 20” diameters paired with rear wheels one inch to one and a half inches wider than front wheels. Tanaka wheels accommodate OE center caps and factory lug bolts, support tire pressure monitoring systems and are hub centric, for a smooth, vibration-free ride and longer tire life.
