Woodcest Preschool in Thousand Oaks and Agoura Hills are ready to meet the needs of parents who are going back to work earlier than anticipated as a result of the downturn in the economy. More and more parents are putting children in preschool at a younger age to work for a family business, take on a job to help the family out, or search for work. Starting in January, there have been steady phone calls from parents interested in space for toddlers as young as 18 months, said Leslie Fredrick, director of Woodcrest Preschool in Agoura Hills. Seeing this trend in January, the company licensed rooms for toddlers to meet the needs of clients starting in September.
