Miller Heiman Methodology Selected for National Student Sales Competition

For second year Miller Heiman will promote positive sales practices through Pro-AM Sell-A-Thon national university sales competition

Miller Heiman, a proven leader in sales performance enablement, announced today that it was selected for the second time as the methodology of record for the PSE Pro-Am Sell-A-Thon, a nationwide undergraduate sales competition of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a fraternal organization focused on the practice and enhancement of sales, marketing and management skills. Students will compete in one of five regional events and finalists will advance to the national competition at the 2011 PSE National Convention to be held in Orlando, Florida, March 29 through April 3.

“This partnership provides a great opportunity for Miller Heiman to play a role in helping prepare students for a successful career in sales, something we are passionate about,” said Damon Jones, managing director for Miller Heiman. “Sales is a strategically important part of any organization and the practical knowledge students will gain by competing in this event will place them in a stronger position with future employers.”

Students involved in the program will leverage Miller Heiman methodologies to compete in a year-long sales challenge designed to mirror an actual complex selling environment. Finalists from six regional competitions will advance to the PSE national convention where they will compete for a scholarship award sponsored by Miller Heiman. Hundreds of students participate each year.

The events will take place at the following dates and locations:

November 6, 2010

  • Midwest Region: Northern Illinois University – Dekalb, IL
  • Atlantic Region: Winston-Salem State University - Winston-Salem, NC

November 13, 2010

  • North Central Region: University of Akron - Akron, OH
  • South/West: New Orleans, LA (local conference facility)

November 20, 2010

  • Northeast Region: William Paterson University - Wayne, NJ
