Sweeping changes in the medical practice fields are causing great concerns about the future of the professions. Most therapists are becoming increasingly concerned about new regulations and patient billing, with Obamacare to go into full affect in 2014.
"It didn't take long before other physical therapists started asking me to help them with their physical and occupational therapy offices. Before I knew it, I had more requests then I could answer in a day’s time, a lot of the concerns were over the same subjects, so I decided I could help best by putting a blog online," Chhoda said.
Chhoda’s website is very popular with other physical therapists. He also started adding videos that he was doing, to explain EMR (electronic medical record) software and marketing trends. He now has his own YouTube Channel that offers free tips and updates.
"Many physical therapy offices still use hand written records and have stacks of files to deal with. I help show them how they can painlessly use physical therapy software, to eliminate all the clutter and storage problems that hard copy files produce. Once an EMR software system is in place to handle billing, management and scheduling physical therapy, the therapist and staff will wonder how they could have functioned better before they started without using the physical therapy documentation software." Chhoda stated.
With Obamacare coming in 2014, it is just a matter of time that all management of physical therapy offices, will be mandated to use EMR for physical therapy services, Chhoda is helping to make the transition as easy as possible by providing current updates through his blog and videos.
Chhoda’s office can be reached by phone at 201-535-4475. For more information, visit the website at http://www.emrnews.com.
