Hartsdale, New York (PRWEB) July 16, 2014
Cut-It-Out Communications, Inc. (http://www.cioediting.com), a full-service Westchester County public relations agency, today announced the inauguration of a $1,000 student scholarship and internship program with an application deadline of December 31, 2014 for the summer of 2015.
The scholarship is open to communications majors in the United States with a minimum 3.0 grade point average, and further details are available at http://www.cioediting.com/public-relations-scholarship.asp. Applicants must write a creative press release about a modern-day invention of “scissors” by their client.
Willy Gissen, President of Cut-It-Out Communications, said, “I still remember how much I learned when a PR professional from Hill & Knowlton taught me the trade of public relations and opened up so many opportunities for me. Perhaps, this scholarship and internship provides a way for me to give back to another deserving young person.”
Mr. Gissen continued by noting some of the topics the internship will cover including standard PR documents, website development, corporate blogs and search engine optimization. The four-week session will conclude with payment of a $1,000 stipend.
A Harvard graduate, Mr. Gissen founded Cut-It-Out Communications in 2003. He has been published widely including a monthly column for the Westchester County Business Journal on public relations and marketing; participated on local radio shows to discuss social media and business development; and continues to distribute an e-newsletter, The Cut-It-Out Customer, started seven years ago. Mr. Gissen is certified in advanced search engine marketing and local search.
