“Creating a coast to coast food waste recycling program allowed Quest Recycling Services and its network of partners to create over 500 green jobs”.

On March 17, 2011, Brian Dick, Quest Recycling Services CEO, was honored to present the progress of Quest Recycling’s comprehensive food waste recycling programs at Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club Global Sustainability Milestone meeting in Bentonville, AR.

Quest Recycling Services, LLC designed and managed a series of recycling programs to help the nation’s largest retailer significantly reduce their waste sent to landfill. The food recycling programs, which started in 2009, allow all Wal-Mart and Sam’s club locations in the US to not only recycle food waste into animal feed or nutrient rich compost, but also to recycle used cooking oil into biofuel or animal feed and unsold meat and seafood into animal feed additives.

“The programs, which are available in all 50 states, allow our clients to divert waste from landfill and convert it into valuable resources, allowing them to reduce inefficiencies, improve profitability and move closer to zero waste” says Brian Dick, CEO of Quest Recycling, LLC. “We are excited to have created a nationwide, robust infrastructure that can reduce the amount of food waste in our landfills and provide a much needed green power source”.
