Braintree, MA (PRWEB) August 17, 2011
Braintree Printing, a digital and offset printing company serving printers and print brokers throughout the Northeast, holds steady on Quick Printing Magazine's annual Top 100 List, ranking 4th in sales per employees and 28th overall in 2011.
Quick Printing's Top 100 is published each year to spotlight the leading small commercial printing companies in North America. The list ranks printers by sales figures, growth, number of shops and employees, sales per employee and sales per shop.
Braintree Printing reported 2010 sales of $5.97 million and ranked exceptionally high in the Sales Per Employee (SPE) category. The company's 26 employees generated $230,000 in printing and copying sales last year. This figure outranks all of the top 20 printers nationwide, including the number one ranked company.
According to Quick Printing, printers that show SPE in excess of $200,000 are rare, placing Braintree Printing in an elite group. "Sales per employee is perhaps the best indicator of a company's overall fiscal health," noted Quick Printing's editor Karen Hall.
As the economy rebounds, the printing industry sees promise ahead. Top 100 sales in 2010 were up 3.85% overall for a total of $532 million. Hall suggested that printers, "enjoy a moment of celebration before rolling up our sleeves and getting back to work."
Echoing this sentiment, Braintree Printing owners Jim Corliss, Jerry Hogan and Jose Tafur hosted a printing industry open house in March. The successful networking event drew 300 printing professionals. "We shared industry struggles and triumphs and showcased Braintree Printing's newest bindery acquisitions including a UV roller coater by Fergesen Systems and a RENA digital envelope printer," said Corliss.
Currently in the process of installing its second large offset printing press, a Ryobi 750, Braintree Printing expects a busy finish to 2011 as it keeps up with customer demands.
