Top quality Rackmount LCD and Rackmount Keyboard solutions

Rackmount LCD technology is a vital infrastructure component across a broad field of industries. Whether in a mobile command center, a medical care facility, or an Information Technology server room the need for sturdy, light-weight, and compact displays is clear. KVMSwitchTech carries a diverse lineup of Rackmount Monitor products ranging in sizes from 17” to 23” displays in form factors from 1U up to 10U. Each form factor and screen size has its own benefits. While the larger units offer higher video resolutions, the 1U and 2U devices help to reduce the overall clutter in confined spaces.

KVMSwitchTech has made improvements to their old line of 1U Dual Slide Rackmount LCD Keyboards. Unlike a traditional Rackmount Keyboard and Monitor combo, a Dual Slide device allows the LCD display to be used without extending the keyboard. This is particularly useful in situations where a server or control station would be installed and observed behind a closed rack door. This functionality can be vital in a situation such as a mobile lab environment where a full height rack may not be an option. These displays stow away for safe transportation while allowing the rest of the rack to be employed by other devices.

All of the Rackmount Keyboard Monitor devices that KVMSwitchTech offers are also available with the optional integrated KVM Switches in 8 port, 16 port, or 32 port configurations supporting PS2 and USB interfaces. This option allows an administrator to control a maximum of 256 servers with a single Rackmount Monitor KVM Drawer through dedicated ports for cascading KVM Switches. Each unit includes an easy to use interface with password protection and OSD controls. The multi-platform support also allows for a mixture of servers running platforms such as SUN and Windows. Every model is also available with the option for either a touchpad or trackball mouse. While the touchpad technology is becoming more popular, users in an environment where gloves are needed would find the trackball option a necessity.
