DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their site football.co.uk. It was today the turn of Liverpool Football Club’s Raheem Sterling.

Sterling was signed in February 2010 from Queens Park Rangers for an initial fee of £600,000, but this could rise to £5 million depending on how many appearances he makes for the first-team. Sterling’s impressive performances for both the youth and reserve squads at Liverpool earned him his senior debut as a substitute in a league match against Wigan Athletic aged 17 years and 107 days, becoming the second-youngest player ever to play for the club. Sterling featured twice more for Liverpool in the 2011-12 season coming on both times as a sub. Sterling is tipped for great success with both Liverpool and England and has been labelled by many as the next ‘John Barnes’.

Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say “Sterling will have no shortage of fans after impressing for both Liverpool Football Club and the England Under 17 team.”

“Of course a player with Sterling’s potential requires a certain level of respect and responsibility and he is sure to be a major hit with fans on Facebook.”

Digital Sports Group will provide further PFA player profiles for every professional footballer in England. the Raheem Sterling facebook page is now live.
