The Matheson Law Office, Pllc, a Raleigh Criminal Defense Law Firm has recently hired a new employee for the position of Legal Assistant, Cameron Hardesty. Mr. Hardesty will be assisting the attorney as he advocates on behalf of the companies clientele, dealing with legal matters, creating legal documents, conducting legal research, and performing secretarial duties such as filing and answering phones.
Mr. Hardesty is a recent North Carolina State University Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminology. In addition to his undergraduate education, Mr. Hardesty is presently pursuing a Paralegal Certificate at Duke University in order to allow him to complete the Paralegal Certification exam. The paralegal program is highly relevant to the expectations Matheson Law Office has for its employees and will help Mr. Hardesty gain a more full-filling experience in the field of law, specifically criminal defense wake county.
After he graduates from the paralegal program, Mr. Hardesty is considering continuing is legal education by pursing his Juris Doctorate at a local law school. This will help Mr. Hardesty reach his goal of becoming a licensed attorney in the state of North Carolina where he has expressed an interest in Raleigh Criminal Defense Attorney work, or perhaps returning home to Baltimore Maryland, where he grew up.
Before Mr. Hardesty graduated from North Carolina State University, he acted as a student assistant with the United States Secret Service. This was a viable experience for Mr. Hardesty in that it was a different side of law and opened his mind to trying different aspects of the field. Also, Mr. Hardesty got the opportunity to meet the nation's president three separate times and act a secret service detail on several outings. He performed these duties for two and a half years during his Junior and Senior year of college at North Carolina State University.
Mr. Hardesty graduated from NC State University with a degree in Criminology, which sparked his interest in the field of criminal law. In addition to getting his degree from NC State he also played for the North Carolina State University football team for two years. Being a part of the team has greatly enhanced his interpersonal skills and taught him the drive he needs to succeed in the legal field.
