It's still possible to buy a home after a bankruptcy or short sale!

On a lot of loans like FHA, USDA, or conventional there is waiting period of 2 to 3 years after bankruptcy or foreclosure, however this program allows borrowers to get into a home much sooner.

RANLife Home Loans is proud to announce the “FHA Return to Work Program,” which allows borrower who experienced a loss of household income or a job to qualify for an FHA insured mortgage as soon as 12 months after bankruptcy, foreclosure or short sale.

The new program was created to help those who suffered through the housing crisis and economic downturn of the last few years. Now that the market is picking up again and borrowers are getting back onto their feet, RANLife decided to implement this program right away.

“On a lot of loans like FHA, USDA, or conventional there is waiting period of 2 to 3 years after bankruptcy or foreclosure, however this program allows borrowers to get into a home much sooner,” stated Skyler Hanks, one of RANLife’s loan officers.

The FHA Return to Work Program takes into account unexpected life changing events such as job loss, a lay off, death, or even divorce. “We realize that some life situations are out of your control and we don’t want our clients to feel punished for that.”

Though this program has more lenient guidelines than other loans, the borrower is still required to have satisfactory credit and no derogatory credit payments in the last 12 months including housing payments, installment loans, and collections. Any derogatory credit has to have occurred before the life changing incidence.

With the release of this new loan program, RANLife expects to see an increase in the amount of qualified borrowers. According to Hanks, many clients who he once had to decline because of the required waiting period after bankruptcy or foreclosure will now qualify for the FHA Return to Work Program.

“This new FHA program has been amazing because lending requirements have become so strict and this is a way for non-perfect credit borrowers to still be able to purchase a home."

This program is exclusively for RANLife clients and is not offered by other lenders. To find out more information about the FHA Return to Work Program please call RANLife at 800.461.4152 or apply online by clicking here.
