The Living Light Chef Showcase: Hot Chefs, Cool Kitchen, streaming live online August 27-29 will feature step-by-step gourmet raw recipes and culinary demos with state of the art camera close-ups, filmed in the professional teaching classroom at Living Light Culinary Arts Institute on the Mendocino Coast of Northern California. Cherie Soria, founder and director of the school, is widely considered the originator of the gourmet raw vegan food movement. She's authored several books, including The Raw Food Revolution Diet. Soria will be joined by 12 of the world’s top gourmet raw vegan chefs, including 8 graduates of Living Light Culinary Arts Institute, and the winner of the Hot Raw Chef Video Recipe Contest, Sheree Clark.

Living Light chef graduate Chad Sarno is an international consultant for restaurants, resorts, and healing centers, and currently develops culinary and education protocols for Whole Foods CEO John Mackey. Chef/Author Elaina Love specializes in low glycemic raw vegan recipes, and caters events worldwide. Martine Lussier, an avid sportswoman who focuses on raw vegan nutrition for increased vitality in competitive sports, is Culinary Programs Manager at Living Light. Chef/Instructor Jennifer Cornbleet has authored two raw recipe books, including Raw Food Made Easy for 1 or 2 People, which has sold over 100,000 copies. Certified by the Culinary Institute of America, Vinnette Thompson enjoyed a 25 year career as a classically trained chef before graduating from Living Light Culinary Arts Institute. She creates sumptuous raw vegan desserts for Pastry Arts—Unbaked, an advanced class at the school. Graduate Kirsten Gum's unconventional career has propelled her from reporter/adventurer to Travel Channel host. Her current company, Raw Trips in Ecuador's Sacred Valley, focuses on eco- travel and conscious cuisine. Tina Jo Stephens is active in social media and intends to bring fresh, simple, affordable raw vegan recipes to the mainstream, and Heather Haxo Phillips teaches raw foods classes at both Whole Foods Market and Café Gratitude in the Bay Area.
Three other celebrated chefs who will demonstrate their recipes are Nomi Shannon, author of the seminal best seller The Raw Gourmet and a leading raw food chef and teacher since 1987; Victoria Boutenko, whose world-traveling family of teachers (including Living Light graduates Valya and Sergei Boutenko) has authored several books, including The Raw Family; and Colleen Cackowski, winner of the Best of Show and Sweet Treat categories at the LA Best of Raw Cacao contest and the Low Glycemic category at the NYC Best of Raw Cacao contest, both in 2010.
