Hocking Stuart Win Big at the Annual Real Estate Awards

Hocking Stuart won 3 awards from 6 nominations at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) Awards, including the Corporate Promotion award for the second year in a row.

(PRWEB) November 5, 2007 -- Hocking Stuart, a leading Melbourne based real estate company, were awarded 3 prestigious awards at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) Awards in late October. Winning these awards re-affirms Hocking Stuarts place as a leader and innovator of the industry.

October 18 at Crown's Palladium Ballroom, venue for such salubrious events as the Logies and the Brownlow Medal count, the Real Estate Institute of Victoria (REIV) held its annual awards presentation evening: REIV -- The Age Awards for Excellence.

Every bit as glamourous as either of the previously mentioned events, the expansive room was buzzing with the throng of excited real estate agents, all hoping to walk away with one of the numerous trophies on offer. It really was a glitzy affair; estate agents know how to dress up.

Whenever compere Andrew O'Keefe announced an agency as a finalist one of the many tables filling the room would erupt with cheers. There were many winners, both individuals and companies, but the loudest eruption was saved for the Residential Property Manager of the Year award.

When the words 'Hayley Mitchell from Hocking Stuart South Yarra' were announced at least 4 tables went berserk. It was pandemonium at the Palladium.

Only moments before, Hocking Stuart had won the highly prestigious Corporate Promotion award for excellence in advertising, marketing and the promotion of their brand. This is a bit like the Best Picture award at the Oscars; it's coveted and hotly contested. Hocking Stuart also won in 2006, making this the first time an agency has collected back-to-back awards in the category.

As expected the cheer was quite raucous when Hocking Stuart were announced the winners of the Corporate Promotion award, however that was mild compared to the rousing reception Hayley received.

Jackie Hall, Operations & Marketing Manager for Hocking Stuart suggested a possible reason why: "The corporate awards are recognition from the industry that we're among the best real estate agency networks in Victoria, which is important for us as a business. But the individual awards are personal; they're reward for an individual's efforts, and Hayley is undoubtedly the
best Property Manager in Victoria."

To cap off an extraordinarily successful night for Hocking Stuart, they also collected one of the last awards for the evening: the REIV Award For Service, won by Sadhana Smiles in recognition of her outstanding work with Hocking Stuart and within the broader real estate community.

Not many real estate agencies get to walk away from these evenings carrying three trophies. Hayley and Sadhana -- and indeed all at Hocking Stuart -- will be smiling for a long time yet, and their heavy perspex trophies will be a constant reminder that in 2007, they were the best in the business.
