The year did show good results for market time for homes sold in the area. In fact, the market time Barrington Hills homes has improved over the last three years.

There was an increase of almost 5% in the median sales price for homes, condos and townhomes in Barrington Hills. The median sales price rose from $599,000 for the year ending March 31, 2012 to $627,500 for the year ending March 31, 2013. There was also an increase of just over 27% in the number of closed sales in the area. The number of closed sales rose from 47 closed sales for the year ending March 31, 2012 to 60 closed sales for the year ending March 31, 2013. This is good new considering the actual number of homes for sale decreased for the third straight year. The number of homes, townhomes and condos in Barrington Hills for sale fell from 126 homes for the year ending March 31, 2011 to 113 homes for the year ending March 31, 2012 to finally 98 homes for the year ending March 31, 2013.

There was, however, an increase in the number of new listings for homes in the area, as the number rose from 145 new listings for the year ending March 31, 2012 to 152 new listings for the year ending March 31, 2013. There was a decrease in the month’s supply of inventory for the year ending March 31, 2013 by just over 40%, as the number declined from 32.1 homes for the year ending March 31, 2012 to 19.1 homes for the year ending March 31, 2013. The year did show good results for market time for homes sold in the area. In fact, the market time Barrington Hills homes has improved over the last three years. The number of days home remained on the market decreased from 351 days for the year ending March 31, 2011 to 295 days for the year ending March 31, 2012 to 288 days for the year ending March 31, 2013.
