The year ending July 31, 2013 showed an increase of 164% in the number of closed sale for attached homes and an increase of 32% in the number of closed sales for detached homes.

The real estate performance review for homes in Barrington showed a significant improvement in the number of closed sales, median sales price for homes in this community.

The year ending July 31, 2013 showed an increase of 164% in the number of closed sale for attached homes and an increase of 32% in the number of closed sales for detached homes. The actual number of closed sales for attached homes rose from 17 closed sales for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 45 closed sales for the year ending July 31, 2013, and the number of closed sales for detached homes rose from 194 closed sale for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 256 closed sales for the year ending July 31, 2013. There was also an increase in the median sales price for both attached and detached homes. The median sales price for attached homes rose from $115,000 for the year ending July 31, 2012 to $147,000 for the year ending July 31, 2013 and the median sales price for detached homes increased from $393,000 for the year ending July 31, 2012 to $405,000 for the year ending July 31, 2013.

The Illinois real estate performance review revealed a decrease in the number of attached and detached homes for sale in Barrington. The number of attached homes for sale fell from 33 homes for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 19 homes for the year ending July 31, 2013, and the number of detached homes for sale dropped from 162 homes for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 120 homes for the year ending July 31, 2013. There were mixed results for the number of new listings for homes in this community. The number of new listings for attached homes dropped from 75 new listings for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 58 new listings for the year ending July 31, 2013, while the number of new listings for detached homes rose from 403 new listings for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 417 new listing for the year ending July 31, 2013.

The month also revealed a decrease in the month’s supply of inventory for attached and detached Barrington homes for sale. The month’s supply of inventory for attached homes dropped from 22.1 homes for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 5.9 homes for the year ending July 31, 2013 and the month supply of inventory for detached homes decreased from 10.3 homes for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 6.1 homes for the year ending July 31, 2013. The month also showed mixed results for the market time for homes sold in this community, as the number of days attached homes remained on the market rose from 213 days for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 216 days for the year ending July 31, 2013, the number of days detached homes stayed on the market dropped from 172 days for the year ending July 31, 2012 to 135 days for the year ending July 31, 2013.
