There was a dramatic increase in the number of closed sales for attached and detached homes, condos, and townhomes in Fox River Grove for the year ending February 28, 2013. The number of closed sales for detached homes also increased from 59 closed sales for the year ending February 29, 2012 to 71 closed sales for the year ending February 28, 2013. This is good news, considering the number of homes for sale in the area decreased over the last year. There were mixed results for the number of new listings for homes for sale in Fox River Grove with the number of new listings for attached homes decreasing from 14 new listings for the year ending February 29, 2012 to 11 new listings for the year ending February 28, 2013, and the number of new listings for detached homes increasing from 122 new listings for the year ending February 29, 2012 to 125 new listings for the year ending February 28, 2012. There were also mixed results for the month’s supply of inventory, as this figure increased for attached homes from less than one home two years ago to 4.3 homes over the past year, and the month’s supply of inventory for detached homes decreased from 11.5 homes for the year ending February 29, 2012 to 7.5 homes for the year ending February 28, 2013.

There were mixed results for the median sales price for homes, townhomes, and condos in Fox River Grove with the median sales price for attached homes increasing by 14.5% and rising from $53,250 for the year ending February 29, 2012 to $60,950 for the year ending February 28, 2013. However, the median sales price for detached homes decreased from $190,000 for the year ending February 29, 2012 to $171,000 for the year ending February 28, 2013. The market time for attached homes increased significantly from 50 days for the year ending February 29, 2012 to 395 days for the year ending February 28, 2013.
