The year did show some improvement in the market time for attached and detached homes, condos, and townhomes in Palatine.

There was a significant improvement in the number of closed sale for attached and detached homes, townhomes, and condos in Palatine for the year ending April 30, 2013. There was an increase of 27.9% in the number of closed sales for attached homes, as the number rose from 499 closed sales for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 638 closed sales for the year ending April 30, 2013. There was also an increase of 47.5% in the number of closed sales for detached homes, as the number increased from 303 closed sales for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 447 closed sales for the year ending April 30, 2013. There were mixed results in the median sales price for attached and detached homes. The median sales price for attached homes decreased slightly from $76,000 for the year ending April 30, 12 to $75,350 for the year ending April 30, 2013. Whereas the median sales price for detached homes increased from $268,000 for the year ending April 30, 2012 to $276,000 for the year ending April 30, 2013.

There was a decrease in the number of attached and detached homes for sale in Palatine. The number of attached homes for sale fell from 481 homes for sale for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 291 homes for sale for the year ending April 30, 2013, and the number of detached homes for sale dropped from 278 homes for sale for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 221 homes for sale for the year ending April 30, 2013. The year showed mixed results for the number of new listings for attached and detached homes for sale in the area. The number of new listings for attached homes decreased slightly from 1027 new listings for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 961 new listings for the year ending April 30, 2013, and the number of new listings for detached homes increased from 695 new listings for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 774 new listings for the year ending April 30, 2013.

There was a decrease in the month’s supply of inventory for the year, as the month’s supply of inventory for attached homes dropped from 12.7 homes for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 6.0 homes for the year ending April 30 2013, and the month’s supply for detached homes fell from 11.6 homes for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 6.6 homes for the year ending April 30, 2013. The year did show some improvement in the market time for attached and detached homes, condos, and townhomes in Palatine, as the number of days attached homes remained on the market dropped from 176 days for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 141 days for the year ending April 30, 2013, and the number of days detached homes stayed on the market fell from 182 days for the year ending April 30, 2012 to 146 days for the year ending April 30, 2013.
