Tobias Nergarden of the Real Estate Marketing Insider, today announced REMI’s weekly Top 3 feature. The REMI Top 3 details three strategies or suggestions for improving real estate business. This week’s Top 3 examined three online tools that are available to realtors for free, that can help streamline a real estate practice.
This week’s Top 3 was inspired by a report in PR Newswire that Sequent Systems, a real estate transaction management company, was announcing major upgrades to their landmark software EZ Coordinator. The EZ Coordinator software is a full-service platform designed specifically for agents and realty firms, offering them a digital workstation for transaction management. Sequent Systems is currently demoing products at San Francisco’s RealTech conference, and they announced that the next version of EZ Coordinator would integrate with Google Calendar and Contacts, Mailchimp (an email marketing software), and Infusionsoft, a social marketing platform designed for small businesses.
As real estate moves further online, this kind of integration across products will hopefully gain traction on newer platforms. However, a smart realtor doesn’t need an expensive do-all software platform to make the internet work for them. In fact, some of the best real estate marketing strategies revolve around the internet’s multiple offerings. Here are REMI’s top 3 free software options for realtors:
- Google Maps. The popular online platform isn’t just for getting directions anymore. As its maps and street-view technology continue to improve, realtors can count on it for high-resolution views of properties that can be shown to clients on a whim, embedded on a website, or included in a virtual tour.
- Evernote. This non-paid note-taking software represents a key tool for realtors working in the field. Notes can be typed onto any iPhone, iPad, Android device, or computer; many mobile apps have handwriting recognition available for realtors who prefer to use a stylus. When the realtor gets back to their workstation, the notes they’ve taken in the field will be there, ready for use, with no syncs or uploads necessary. This can be an important time- and work-saver.
- YouTube and Vimeo. For a successful small-practice realtor, there’s nothing more important than developing a personality for their practice and firm. Short videos featuring the realtor can go a long way in “humanizing” a practice. With mobile devices and tablets, videos are easy and quick to make and publish. Throw in a well-tended Facebook or Twitter account, and the possibilities for advertising using online videos are endless.
