Severe weather storms, inland and coastal floods as well as a spate of wildfires top the FEMA disaster declaration list for July. More than 70 major disasters, emergency and fire management notices were issued so far for the United States in 2007. In light of the significant increase in flooding and wildfire occurrences in 2007, Seagate Recovery Services has placed its Rapid Response Data Recovery Teams on 24 / 7 standby for immediate deployment anywhere in the United States during this hurricane season.

It's an exciting opportunity to partner with Seagate Recovery Services in this initiative of safeguarding American business' most precious assets - its data!

"The resilience of today's storage media and the possibility of recovering data lost due to flooding or wildfire damage is often underestimated by American businesses," says David Foster, vice president for Lab Operations at Seagate Recovery Services. "Using Seagate Recovery Services' leading drive independent data recovery technology and state-of-the-art strategically located super labs across the US and Canada to recover mission-critical data is now within the reach of virtually every United States business," Foster highlights.

Seagate Recovery Services recognizes the need for American businesses to keep operations running regardless of the severity of a natural disaster so that they can remain profitable. As such, Seagate Recovery Services has partnered with EVault, A Seagate Company, to provide businesses with an additional level of data protection using EVault's software or services to back up their business-critical data to multiple sites.

"Businesses can add an additional level of protection, by ensuring their critical data is stored offsite in one of our state-of-the art datacenters. The data is readily available and can be restored quickly to minimize business disruption," says Richard Heitmann, vice president of product management at EVault.
