Refresh Miami Celebrates 100 Meetups

“This is going to be our first Holiday Bash and we are not holding back the punches.” - Peter Martinez, cofounder of Refresh Miami.

Miami, FL (PRWEB) December 13, 2013

Refresh Miami, a nonprofit that fosters entrepreneurs and tech innovators in South Florida, will celebrate its 100th event during their Holiday Bash this Saturday, December 14th at 8pm at MAPS Backlot, one of Wynwood's hippest spots.

Since Refresh Miami announced $150,000 in support from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation back in May, the local grass roots organization has grown from 3,500 to 8,100 members and has brought speakers like Facebook’s Director of Engineering John Ciancutti.

“This has been a transformative year for Refresh Miami. We have had tremendous support from our tech startup community over the past seven years and this Holiday Bash is our way of uniting the community to celebrate and raise money for the upcoming 2014 year,” says Brian Breslin, cofounder of Refresh Miami. “We want to continue to bring top notch speakers and educational content focused on inspiring and educating our community, and we need South Florida’s support to make this happen.”

Over 250 members of the startup community will attend the Refresh Miami Holiday Bash fundraising event, featuring live music from DJ team Dude Skywalker, silent auctions and raffles for over $3,000 worth of items. Tickets start at $50 and include an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, live music, a roulette gift and a discount code for the upcoming Refresh Go Conference.

“This is going to be our first Holiday Bash and we are not holding back the punches,” says Peter Martinez, cofounder of Refresh Miami. “This is going to be a great night to turn up the holiday cheer and celebrate with the Refresh community to raise funds in order for us to continue to grow and give back to our local startup ecosystem.”
