A game-changing industry innovation: Automated awards for quarters, semesters, non-standard term--even non-term, borrower-based award year (BBAY) programs with monthly or frequent starts--are fully supported by Regent Enterprise. These revolutionary features are especially important to institutions offering monthly start, "Online," "Education on Demand," and clock-hour academic programs.

By using our solutions, institutions can increase enrollment and provide superior educational experiences for their students. At the end of the day, we all win.

Regent Education, the leading provider of financial aid management Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions for higher education institutions, today announced the revolutionary capability to automate the awarding of financial aid to students in term-based, non-standard term, and non-term academic programs using cohorts and academic tracks defined by the institution.

These features are especially important to institutions offering monthly start, "Online," "Education on Demand," and clock-hour academic programs.

"As more and more colleges and universities are expanding their offerings from traditional academic programs to non-traditional and non-term programs, Regent Enterprise is staying ahead of that curve--by providing solutions that will allow these institutions to automate their entire financial aid process--regardless of the type of academic program," said Randy Jones, Regent's CEO.

The use of cohorts facilitates the automation of the awarding of student aid and the processing of student loans using a "borrower-based award year" (BBAY). Regent Enterprise fully automates the packaging of year-round Pell Grants and other aid awarded based upon the Federal award year--and independently handles the processing of loans awarded using a borrower-based academic year.

Many institutions are not able to award students all the funds for which they are eligible simply because their existing financial aid management system is not capable of processing BBAY student loans--or is not able to process aid for students attending in different academic tracks--or both.

Regent Enterprise is the only financial aid management system that fully automates the processing of student loans using a borrower-based award year. It is also one of the few financial aid management systems that can support awarding aid to students in academic programs that start on a monthly--or even more frequent basis.

A number of institutions outsource the processing of clock-hour and non-term financial aid because it is such a labor-intensive process or because they don't have a system that can meaningfully automate it. The alternative, which some are forced to choose, is to not make financial aid available to students in those types of academic programs.

Fortunately, the automated processing of financial aid for clock-hour and non-term programs is now fully supported in Regent Enterprise.

"Our hope is that by automating processes and increasing capabilities and efficiencies for our customers, we also remove some barriers for students so that they can gain greater access to the financial aid support they need," says Shaun Poulton, Regent's CTO. "By using our solutions, institutions can increase enrollment and provide superior educational experiences for their students. At the end of the day, we all win."
