Regent Property Group Releases its Luxury Home Real Estate Statistics for Austin, Texas: June 2013 Report

The high list price for Austin luxury homes continues to top out just under $15 million, as a quickened pace for luxury properties has resulted in over 200 of these homes over $1 million selling this year, according to an analysis by Regent Property Group, Austin’s premier luxury home brokerage.

Especially as we transition from an incredibly busy spring fueled by pent-up demand to a hot, active summer, we see more buyers searching for a perfect piece of Austin lifestyle. Of course, the most popular hotspot is a home on the shores of Lake Austin.

Two hundred thirteen homes over a million dollars have sold in Austin, Texas this year (January 1 to June 24, 2013,) yet another indication of Austin’s real estate prowess as a leading economy in the United States, reported brokerage Regent Property Group.

The median sold price for this segment of homes was $1,340,000, which equaled about $296.97 per square foot. The average sold price came in a bit higher, at $1,578,878, with a square foot price of $317.68. The most expensive home sold year to date (to June 24) reached $5,860,000 ($755.12 per square foot.) These numbers were relatively in line with May’s figures: a median sold price of $1,325,000 and an average sold price $1,556,300.

The high list price was $14.5 million, with an average list price of about $2.4 million and a median list price of $1.75 million.
