The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts® (NAREIT) announced that REITWise™: NAREIT's Law, Accounting & Finance Conference will be held March 25-27 at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, Calif.
REITWise is one of NAREIT's largest gatherings of the year and is focused on providing attendees with a wealth of information through 20 sessions and roundtables delivered over the course of three days. In addition to these informative sessions, REITWise provides an excellent opportunity to interact and network with REIT executives and the professionals who provide tax, securities, financial standards and legal expertise to these companies.
This year's event will focus on the current credit and economic crises and the ways that REITs and other real estate investment companies are managing these challenges. Some critical subject areas to be covered include:
- When will credit come back?
- Outlook for REIT M&A
- Tax aspects to maintaining liquidity
- Debt management
